The academy offers practical knowledge and experience in accountancy. If you are looking to add some experience to your CV or you want to have a career change and gain exposure in a practice environment, then the academy offers you the opportunity. Its aim is to provide practical experience which would complement the theoretical studies which you may be engaged in whether at university, post graduate or professional studies level.
The academy is most suited for individuals studying towards an accountancy qualification or someone who has completed all the exams and needs to start the practical training. This could be from AAT, degree or even the professional qualification level but the key focus is on the practical aspects of your training.
The academy offers you an opportunity to learn from experienced accountants in classroom environment. It also offers the unique opportunity to gain 6 months experience in an accountancy firm with minimal entry requirements. Furthermore the academy has exclusive relations with recruitment agencies to assist trainees secure their ideal role within businesses on completion of the course.

The classroom phase is taught over 14 hours, which can vary in terms of the dates and days the course is delivered. Please check calendar for course dates which can be found in the student section.
The levels stated in the Student Section is to provide an indication of the various roles that students could be exposed to once they are successful in securing the 6 month practical experience placement.
The tasks students are expected to perform will be dependant on their previous experience, knowledge and performance in the assessment at the end of the 2 day classroom / online training.
If you fail the assessment, the first resit is free and any subsequent resits can be taken again at a cost of £75 each. If the student is able to pass the assessment, they will be offered the same opportunity as others to gain 6 months experience in an accountancy practice.
The initial experience is 6 months. This can be extended however additional payment will be required to cover the costs as per the initial payment. The additional payment will be £250 for the experience but if the student wishes to engage in the next course level, it will be additional £250 (total of £500).
There are a number of possibilities after the 6 month training is over. The students can opt to enhance their development by enrolling onto the next stage of the course. They could potentially be offered an extension to the training by the employer if they are pleased with the performance. It ultimately comes down to you and what you would like to see happen after 6 months.
Yes, the academy only stipulates the minimum number of hours that you have to commit to the business. Although there is no maximum. We would encourage the students to spend as much time as possible as it aids the learning and development. The minimum hours have been set to make the course flexible and easy to work around applicants who may have other commitments such as university or part time job.
You will be given an option to put forward the desired shift. Where possible the employers will try to accommodate whether this is day, evening or weekend. The training is provided around your schedule to make it suitable and practical for you to do. However the work performed must be done to company standards and deadlines have to be met.
The accountancy firms adopts a agile and flexible working arrangement. This means you can gain the experience and work from home at the same time. It only demands that all individuals gaining practical experience adhere to company deadlines for any client work which they may be allocated. The flexibility will allow students to manage between their studies or second jobs.
Yes the course is ideal for someone studying in University. It provides the opportunity to gain practical experience along side the degree. This will enable the students to fast track their finance career as on graduation they will also have accumulated professional training hours which contribute towards their professional membership.
Any relevant hours of work performed will be signed off by a qualified accountant and will be contribute towards the professional membership with accountancy body.
However the conditions may vary for the various accountancy bodies that you may be registered with. Therefore we would advise you to seek clarification from the professional bodies.

Cube Academy works exclusively with recruitment agents who are working throughout the 6 months to secure you a permanent role. The students will be expected to sign an exclusivity contract that they will allow the academy to secure the role for them.
